We hope you are enjoying these summer months, spending time with family and
friends and possibly relaxing or enjoying a much-needed summer vacation. Thank
you for taking the time to remember the Romanian children with your gifts.
Our desire is to be able to purchase a larger building and to have more space, enabling us to better serve the great needs which arise daily. Also, the Rescue Center staff would like to organize a trip out of the city for some of the street kids. If you would like to help financially in either of these areas, please contact our office.

Our Hope Rescue Center has literally become a center of activity in the city of Bucharest. In the past 6 months the staff has developed a website, www.hrc.ro, that links to our website, www.romanianchildren.org. If you go to our LINKS page, you can see the staff and find out how they are making an impact. The Rescue Center was opened in a small building in 1996 and we are still in that same small building. Even though the space is small, big things take place there weekly.
Along with gaining two new staff members in April, the staff is being trained to meet the challenges they face daily on the streets. They are given an introduction to social assistance, education in psychology and counseling and are being introduced to the Romanian social legislation.
