It is so great to have you as our partner in the task of rescuing and rehabilitating the street children of Bucharest, Romania. We and our staff are on the streets, in the Rescue Center, in our Family Home's projects, and at the Baby House, but YOU are providing the lifeline with your giving! We truly could not do our work without your help! Thank you so much for your support! Here in the U.S. we have the joy of celebrating Mother's Day in May, however in Romania it is celebrated in March. One of our staff "moms" sent this note: "As a mother and wife I had the privilege of receiving flowers from all of our children. But one of the nicest things was that in the morning all the children brought me a gift they had bought with the money they had earned. I have been with City of Hope/Orasul Sperantei (Romanian) for 10 years and NEVER have I received gifts like this year. Each one tried to do his/her best and outdo the other. |
| This tells me that our children are learning to enjoy giving, to treasure and look forward to loving and surprising those who care for them." Another of our staff moms wrote, "Each of the children came to me with a card (written, painted, colored in their own style) telling of their love for me. As their 'mother', every day home with them, talking, working, doing homework, a relationship of love has formed which keeps us together and gives us trust in each other."
